Procrastination is one of mankind’s longest-standing traditions. The New Yorker called it the common pulse of humanity.
We use nice words to talk about procrastination, like perfectionism, or needing feedback, or bringing in another expert. But it’s all the same. It’s waiting for something to push you to act.
Waiting for permission is procrastination. It’s pushing off the deadline, it’s avoiding the risk and the doing and the thing itself.
You can do it, or you can not do it. Whatever ‘it’ is. And every second you spend waiting, you’re not doing.
