Our Newest LinkedIn eBook releases tomorrow! Here's a recap
From our Daily Email (you can get daily inspiration and free sign-up here).
Business is by definition, transactional. After all, things are bought and sold, services are rendered, and value received.
The issue is that you don’t want your people inside your business [with a couple of exceptions] to be only focused on transactions. What matters more is meaning, purpose and connection.
Making this happen is easier said than done, but those intrinsic motivators are a far more powerful driver of engagement than money alone.
The good news is, if you can pull it off, you can create a lot of long-term value, very quickly. People matter. Culture matters. Transactions are only a small part of the equation.
The challenge of creating smart storytelling
In anticipation of the release of our next Ebook in collaboration with LinkedIn & Brian Solis on March 28th, we thought it would be fun to revisit our previous collaboration "Attention Is Currency".
We're students of social sharing. So much has been written over the last ten years about how messages spread and the fact that humans are hard-wired to share ideas. We are pattern seekers and are programmed to copy.
For any leader, one of your great challenges is to spread a shared beliefs. If you are a marketer, you want people talking about your product and connecting around your ideas.
We all know that this is super hard to accomplish. Our default method of doing this is through e-books. We can combine storytelling and thought leadership into one neat pdf that can be shared on social channels, emailed to prospects or hosted on platforms like slideshare. The stories are fun and engaging - designed to support and spread your messages.
We've done them for Linkedin, Microsoft and Roche Pharmaceuticals, to name a few.
