If you find yourself stuck:
It is more common than you think to get stuck. Whether its a bad habit, a bad path, or in a larger psychological sense, where your reality simply isn’t matching up with your dreams for who you would like to be.
The human side of us often selects less than optimal choices. Therefore, the conscious side of us has to self-govern carefully. Examine whether a close relationship, bad habit or something else is holding you back. It may be time to fix that.
To paraphrase a buddhist philosophy on this:
I am walking down the street. I fall into a deep hole. I can’t get out. I am lost and helpless. It is not my fault. It takes forever, but I finally get out.
I am walking down the same street. I pretend not to see the deep hole. I fall in. It still takes a long time to get out.
I again walk down the street. I see the hole. I still fall in, but my eyes are wide open. This time I get out immediately.
I walk down the very same street. I see the hole and walk around it.
I walk down a different street.
The aspiration is to learn sometime around step #1, but don’t be hard on yourself if you fall into a different step. Just learn, and progress.
