A look into consensus versus dictum
Telling people what to do is easy. Forcing them to do it is easy.
Shutting down the entire US Government by force and dictum is actually pretty easy.
Just like emailing a memo of rules is easy, versus...?
Building consensus, selling your idea, gaining friends and followers, and creating a cause that people want to join.
That's hard.
Call it politicking, call it collaboration.
But if Amazon or Tesla or Tom's or any other favorite of yours has taught you anything, it's that the calculated and considered approach -- the long game -- works. Brands are fragile, people are fragile, ideas are fragile, and creating a real movement is how you win.
There are tough times ahead of each of us. We can use all the kindness we can get at this moment. Negotiate, try, learn, grow. There is greater wealth in that.
